xAI Grok Connectors Release
xAI has launched Connectors, a suite of deep integrations that allow Grok to interact directly with third-party applications. This update enables Grok to perform end-to-end tasks—such as summarizing emails, updating slides, and organizing calendars—eliminating the need for manual copy-pasting between tools.
Availability and Setup
Connectors are available across Grok Web, iOS, and Android. Users can enable these integrations through the following methods:
- Web: Access the + button, select Connectors, and use the + Add connector option.
- iOS and Android: Navigate to Settings → Connectors to link desired services.
Supported Third-Party Integrations
Grok now supports a wide range of productivity and development tools, providing both read and write capabilities depending on the integration:
Productivity and Communication
- Google Workspace: A single integration providing access to Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar for reading and writing emails, documents, spreadsheets, and events.
- Outlook: Enables searching of inboxes, calendars, and meetings. Grok can draft and send emails, create calendar invites, and triage inboxes.
- OneDrive: Provides access to personal and shared files for the analysis of spreadsheets, presentations, and reports.
- Notion: Allows Grok to search or edit pages, databases, and wikis within a workspace.
Enterprise and Development
- SharePoint: Grok can search, read, and synthesize files, lists, and pages. With write permissions, Grok can create, edit, and update these assets. Advanced document editing is powered by Grok 4.3.
- GitHub: Integrates repositories, issues, and pull requests, allowing Grok to search code, summarize PRs, and review changes.
- Linear: Connects to workspaces to manage tasks, issues, roadmaps, and projects. Grok can search backlogs, summarize sprint progress, and draft updates or create new issues.
Custom Integrations via Model Context Protocol (MCP)
To support proprietary or internal tools, xAI has introduced Bring Your Own MCP. This feature allows users to connect any custom Model Context Protocol server to Grok, enabling the AI to plug into homegrown knowledge bases, internal MCP gateways, or proprietary APIs.
