xAI Grok Bot Release
xAI has introduced Grok Bot, a system of AI teammates designed to execute end-to-end professional tasks by operating their own dedicated cloud computers. Unlike traditional AI agents that often require structured APIs or Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, Grok Bot can sign into tools, navigate websites, and work across apps and inboxes independently.
Autonomous Execution via Cloud Computers
Grok Bot operates on its own computer in the cloud, allowing it to complete multi-step jobs without requiring the user to remain active or online. This architecture enables the Bot to interact with platforms that lack clean APIs, ensuring that work is finished and delivered directly into the actual tools where humans typically operate.

- Sales: Updating CRMs with call transcript notes and drafting follow-ups.
- Operations: Processing invoices received via Gmail and onboarding new hires.

Teammate-Based Interaction Model
Instead of requiring users to build complex workflows, routines, or automations, Grok Bot is designed to be interacted with via simple messaging on desktop or iOS. Users can hand off work to a Bot as if they were texting a colleague, and the Bot maintains conversation history and context across different devices.
