Eynzof/Hermes-CN-Desktop
Hermes Agent CN desktop app, Windows-First, built with Tauri, Typescript and Rust. Isolated Hermes Agent core insides.
What it solves
Hermes Agent CN Desktop provides a native desktop experience for the Hermes Agent, moving beyond a simple web dashboard. It solves the friction of manual runtime installation and management by bundling a modified Chinese community version of the Hermes Agent core, allowing users to easily deploy and interact with AI agents on Windows and macOS.
How it works
Built with Tauri v2, Rust, React, and TypeScript, the project acts as a desktop shell. It manages local processes, handles file dialogs, and provides a secure REST proxy layer to communicate with the agent runtime. It integrates with various model providers (cloud-based or local via Ollama, vLLM, etc.) and includes a dedicated interface for managing agent capabilities.
Who it’s for
Users who want a streamlined, native desktop application to run and manage AI agents, particularly those within the Chinese-speaking ecosystem, who prefer local control over their AI workflows.
Highlights
- One-click installation: Simplified setup for Windows and macOS users.

- Agent-centric UI: Features dedicated panels for chat, MCP tools, Skills, Memory, and runtime diagnostics.
- Broad Model Support: Compatible with major cloud providers and local deployment options like Ollama and llama.cpp.
- YOLO Mode: A high-risk operation switch that allows the agent to execute dangerous commands automatically after a second confirmation.
- Production-grade Bridge: Uses Rust commands to proxy REST and uploads, bypassing WebView limitations for better security and stability.
