Anthropic and Teach For All AI Training Initiative
Anthropic and Teach For All have launched the AI Literacy & Creator Collective (LCC), a global initiative providing AI tools and training to more than 100,000 teachers and alumni across 63 countries. This partnership aims to empower educators in under-resourced schools to move from passive consumers of AI to co-architects who shape the development and application of AI in the classroom.
Educators as Co-Architects of AI Development
The partnership is structured to ensure that teachers provide direct on-the-ground feedback to inform the evolution of Claude. By positioning educators as co-creators, Anthropic aims to make AI more equitable by integrating the insights of those who understand student needs most intimately.
"For AI to reach its potential to make education more equitable, teachers need to be the ones shaping how it's used and providing input on how it's designed," said Wendy Kopp, CEO of Teach For All.
Practical Applications and Classroom Tools
Educators are utilizing Claude Artifacts—interactive tools such as apps, games, and visualizations—to create tailored educational materials. Documented examples of these implementations include:
- Climate Education: A teacher in Liberia developed an interactive climate education curriculum for local schools.
- Gamified Mathematics: A teacher in Bangladesh created a math learning app for Grade 6 and 7 students featuring XP rewards, a leaderboard, and "boss battles" to support students struggling with basic numeracy.
- Interactive Workspaces: A tech educator at Enseña por Argentina is designing digital, interactive workspaces for secondary school students aligned with the national curriculum.
Structure of the AI Literacy & Creator Collective
The LCC operates through three distinct, interconnected programs designed to scale AI fluency:
AI Fluency Learning Series
Developed with Anthropic's education team, this series consists of six live episodes focusing on AI fluency, Claude's capabilities, and practical classroom applications. The inaugural series in November 2025 saw over 530 educators in attendance.
Claude Connect
This serves as a peer-to-peer learning hub where more than 1,000 educators from over 60 countries exchange prompts, use cases, and discoveries through daily conversation.
Claude Lab
An innovation space for advanced users that provides Claude Pro access. Participants engage in monthly office hours with the Anthropic team and contribute directly to Claude's product roadmap. The program received over 200 applications within four days of its announcement.
Global Context of Anthropic's Education Initiatives
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Anthropic to integrate AI into global education systems. Other current and past efforts include:
- Iceland: Launching one of the first comprehensive national AI education pilots.
- Rwanda: Partnering with the government and ALX to provide AI education to hundreds of thousands of learners across Africa.
- United States: Participating in the White House Taskforce on AI Education to develop practical AI skills for students and educators.
