Anthropic Forms New Enterprise AI Services Company with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs

Anthropic has partnered with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs to launch a new AI services company designed to integrate Claude into the core operations of mid-sized organizations. This initiative addresses the gap in delivery capacity for companies that lack the in-house engineering resources required to build and run frontier AI deployments.

Strategic Purpose and Target Market

The new AI services company focuses on mid-sized companies across various sectors—such as community banks, mid-sized manufacturers, and regional health systems—that stand to gain from AI but lack internal technical resources. While Anthropic's existing partnerships with large systems integrators in the Claude Partner Network serve the world's largest enterprises, this new firm extends delivery capacity to a broader segment of the market.

According to Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic:

"Enterprise demand for Claude is significantly outpacing any single delivery model. Our partnerships with the world's leading systems integrators are central to how Claude reaches large enterprises. This new firm brings additional operating capability to the ecosystem and capital from leading alternative asset managers."

Operational Model and Implementation

The company will employ a collaborative engineering approach to deploy Claude-powered systems. A typical engagement follows a structured process:

  1. Impact Identification: A small team works with the customer to identify specific areas where Claude can provide the most significant operational impact.
  2. Custom Development: Engineers from the new company, working alongside Anthropic Applied AI staff, develop tailored systems that fit into existing organizational workflows.
  3. Long-term Support: The firm provides ongoing support to ensure the sustainability of the deployments.

For example, in a healthcare services group, the firm might build tools for documentation, medical coding, prior authorizations, and compliance reviews. By collaborating with clinicians and IT staff to understand where time is lost during a shift, the engineers build tools that allow medical professionals to devote more time to patient care.

Ecosystem and Funding

The new entity is founded by Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs. It is further backed by a consortium of alternative asset managers, including:

  • General Atlantic
  • Leonard Green
  • Apollo Global Management
  • GIC
  • Sequoia Capital

This company will also join the Claude Partner Network, which includes global consulting and systems integration firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, and PwC. These partners lead complex transformation programs for global enterprises, while the new services company complements this ecosystem by providing specialized delivery for the mid-market.
