OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program

OpenAI has launched the Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, providing security partners with access to frontier cyber models to enable organizations to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities at machine speed. This initiative aims to close the defense gap by integrating advanced AI intelligence directly into the products, services, and security operations that defenders already use.

Integration of Frontier Models into Security Operations

OpenAI's frontier cyber models are being integrated into the security products, managed services, and customer engagements of approved partners. This allows organizations to benefit from advanced security capabilities without the need to to build and run their own specialized cyber AI programs.

Daybreak Access Models

Partners can access two distinct models through Daybreak Access, depending on the specific security requirements of the work:

  • Daybreak Blue: Designed to support a broad range of defensive security workflows.
  • Daybreak Red: Designed for specialized, closely governed work, including red teaming and penetration testing.

Transitioning from Vulnerability Discovery to Remediation

OpenAI states that a vulnerability report alone does not protect an organization; actual protection comes from understanding exploitability, identifying at-risk systems, and deploying fixes into production. Daybreak Cyber Partners use frontier models to assist in the following areas:

  • Vulnerability discovery and validation

Governance and Safeguards
