Snowflake and Anthropic Partnership for Enterprise Agentic AI

Anthropic and Snowflake have announced a a $200 million multi-year strategic partnership to bring agentic AI to global enterprises. This collaboration integrates Claude models directly into the Snowflake platform, allowing more than 12,600 global customers across Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure to leverage frontier AI for complex data analysis while maintaining strict security and governance standards.

Enterprise Intelligence and Agentic Capabilities

Claude's reasoning capabilities are integrated into Snowflake's environment to enable the deployment of AI agents capable of multi-step analysis. These agents allow business users to query company data using plain English; Claude identifies the necessary data, retrieves it from the Snowflake environment, and provides an answer.

According to Snowflake's internal benchmarks, this system achieves greater than 90% accuracy on complex text-to-SQL tasks.

Technical Integration and Product Offerings

The partnership delivers several key technical capabilities for enterprise users:

Snowflake Intelligence: Powered by Claude Sonnet 4.5, this enterprise intelligence agent provides answers derived from both structured and unstructured data using natural language.
Multimodal Analysis via Cortex AI Functions: Customers can use Claude models—including Claude Opus 4.5—to query text, images, audio, and tabular data using SQL through Snowflake Cortex AI Functions.
Custom Multi-Agent Solutions: Snowflake Cortex Agents allow customers to build production-ready data agents powered by Claude that can retrieve and reason over diverse data types with built-in efficiency.
Governance and Observability: The Snowflake Horizon Catalog provides the end-to-end governance and responsible AI controls necessary for regulated industries, such as healthcare, financial services, and life sciences, to move from pilot projects to production.

Engineering: Claude Code is used to enhance developer productivity and innovation.
Sales: A Claude-powered GTM AI Assistant, built on Snowflake Intelligence, enables sales teams to centralize data and use natural language queries to accelerate deal cycles.
