xAI expands government access via GSA OneGov initiative

xAI has expanded its "xAI For Government" offering in partnership with the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide frontier AI models to the entire US federal government. This initiative, part of the GSA OneGov strategy, makes xAI's latest reasoning models available to every federal department, agency, or bureau for a cost of $0.42 for an 18-month period.

Model Availability and Pricing

Every federal government department, agency, or bureau can now access xAI's latest reasoning models, specifically Grok 4 and Grok 4 fast, at a nominal cost of $0.42 for the next 18 months. xAI states that it is the only laboratory that has committed to maintaining parity between the models available in the commercial sector and those available in regulated government environments.

Implementation Support and Engineering Resources

To ensure the effective implementation of AI tools within government operations, xAI is providing a dedicated team of "Grok Engineers" to assist federal agencies. This commitment is designed to accelerate the adoption of AI and help personnel be trained to use these new tools to ensure mission success.

This expansion is aligned with President Trump's AI Action Plan and the current administration's goals to integrate advanced AI tools into federal workflows.
