Hugging Face Hub on AWS Marketplace

Hugging Face has launched an integration with the AWS Marketplace, enabling organizations to subscribe to the Hugging Face Hub and manage all usage charges through their existing AWS billing account. This integration removes procurement barriers for companies leveraging large language models (LLMs) and managed machine learning services.

Integrated Billing for Managed Services

Organizations can now use their AWS account to pay for Hugging Face managed services, replacing the need for a credit card on file with Hugging Face. This consolidated billing applies to several key services:

  • Inference Endpoints: Deploying models in minutes.
  • AutoTrain: Creating machine learning models without writing code.
  • Spaces Hardware Upgrades: Accessing enhanced compute resources for Hugging Face Spaces.

These services can be used to train, test, and deploy popular models such as Llama 2, StarCoder, and BERT. Pricing for the Hugging Face Hub via the AWS Marketplace is identical to public Hugging Face pricing.

Setup Requirements and Process

To connect a Hugging Face organization to an AWS account, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • An active AWS account with permission to subscribe to AWS Marketplace products.
  • A Hugging Face organization account with a registered and confirmed email (individual user accounts cannot be connected).
  • An "admin" role within the target Hugging Face organization.

Connection Workflow

The integration process involves subscribing to the Hugging Face Platform offering on the AWS Marketplace, clicking "Set up your account" to be redirected to the Hugging Face Hub, and selecting the specific organization account to link. Once the link is submitted, the subscription status moves from subscribe-pending to subscribe-success after email confirmation from both AWS and Hugging Face.

Enterprise Hub and Security

Users who subscribe via the AWS Marketplace can further enable the Enterprise Hub. This upgrade provides organizations with advanced security features, access controls, and collaboration tools. The Enterprise Hub is built on a platform that is GDPR compliant and SOC2 Type 2 certified, allowing companies to build AI privately and securely.
