AI Bro — a local-first workspace for AI conversations, source-linked knowledge, and tasks.
What it solves
AI Bro is a native Mac application designed to help students and researchers manage their learning process. It solves the problem of fragmented study workflows by integrating document reading, AI-assisted note-taking, and task management into a single workspace.
How it works
The app allows users to import PDFs and Markdown files into projects. Users can then use a connected LLM (via API) to ask questions about these documents, generate summaries, and extract core concepts. The system supports a side-by-side view where users can verify AI-generated answers against the original source text. AI-generated content can be saved as editable notes in a visual editor or Markdown source mode, with a built-in diff viewer to review changes before accepting them. Additionally, it can extract tasks and deadlines from course materials to populate a built-in calendar and task board.
