YouTube Digest transforms YouTube videos into structured learning resources. It solves the problem of having to manually transcribe, translate, or summarize long videos, allowing users to study content and languages without leaving the video player.

How it works

It is a Chrome extension that operates in a side panel. It uses the Supadata API to retrieve native YouTube transcripts and the DeepSeek V4 Flash model to provide AI-powered overviews, translations (Original, Simplified Chinese, or bilingual), and explanations for selected text. Users provide their own API keys for both services, and all data—including keys and notes—is stored locally in the browser.
