Claude Code skills for equity investors and traders — market analysis, technical charting, economic calendars, screeners, and trading strategy development.
What it solves
Claude Trading Skills provides a structured workflow toolkit for individual investors who lack the time for full-time trading but want a disciplined approach to long-term investing and swing trading. It prevents the outsourcing of critical buy/sell decisions to AI, instead using AI to organize market reviews, risk management, trade planning, and journaling to improve the human trader's decision-making process.
How it works
The project consists of a library of "skills" (modular AI capabilities) and "workflows" (sequences of skills) that can be integrated into Claude (via the Web App or Claude Code). These skills handle specific tasks like analyzing market breadth, screening for growth stocks using methodologies like CANSLIM or VCP, and calculating position sizes. Users can run these workflows manually or via API integrations (e.g., Alpaca, FMP) to generate reports, checklists, and trade plans.
Who it’s for
- Time-constrained individual investors.
- Long-term dividend and ETF investors who want structured portfolio reviews.
- Traders practicing disciplined swing trading as a satellite strategy.
- Investors who want to implement a rigorous journaling and post-mortem process for their trades.
Highlights
- Modular Skill Library: Includes specialized tools for market regime detection, portfolio management, and strategy research.
- Flexible Deployment: Compatible with both the Claude Web App (via
.skillpackages) and Claude Code (via local directory integration). - No-API Starter Path: Offers a set of core skills that work with public CSVs and local files, removing the requirement for paid market-data subscriptions.
- Decision-Centric Design: Focuses on human-in-the-loop decision gates rather than fully automated trading or signal generation.
