shareAI-lab/lab-skills
Skills distilled from the Lab's real work and collaboration practices
What it solves
This repository solves the problem of AI coding agents lacking practical, reusable instructions for real-world engineering, research, publishing, and collaboration tasks. Instead of starting from scratch, agents can follow skills distilled from an actual lab's proven workflows, making them more effective and consistent. It also addresses fragmentation by following the Agent Skills specification, so skills can be shared and used across different agent systems.
How it works
Lab Skills is a skills-only repository: it contains no plugins, tutorials, or unrelated articles. Each skill is a self-contained package with core instructions and optional agent-facing metadata, designed to work independently. You can preview available skills without installing them using npx skills add shareai-lab/lab-skills --list, install all or individual skills non-interactively (e.g., npx skills add shareai-lab/lab-skills --skill deep-architecture-research), or generate a prompt for a specific skill without installing it. Installed skills can be kept up to date with npx skills update (all, one, project-level, or global). The repository includes a catalog of skills grouped into categories: research and analysis (e.g., review-ai-conversations, deep-architecture-research), software engineering (vibe-coding), team collaboration and communication (meeting-coach-leader, meeting-coach-worker), agent development (agent-builder, skill-judge), and content and publishing (media-writer). Each skill has recommended scenarios and example prompts, making them immediately usable.
Who it’s for
The primary audience is AI coding agents and systems that support the Agent Skills specification (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, opencode, Cursor). It is also intended for developers and teams who use such agents and want to apply proven, practice-derived skills to improve research, engineering, collaboration, and content work. The skills are adaptable — the README notes that users should read each skill's description and adjust assumptions that don’t fit their tools, organization, or working context.
