How it works

OptiScaler acts as a middleware layer that intercepts "inputs" (the upscaler calls the game makes based on its settings) and redirects them to a chosen "output" (the actual upscaling backend used to render the frame). It supports DirectX 11, DirectX 12, and Vulkan APIs. Additionally, it includes an experimental feature called OptiFG for DX12 games to enable or replace frame generation.
