nexu-io/codex-slides
🎨 Open-source AI slide studio inside Codex: image-native decks, every slide a full visual canvas. ⚡ 10+ high-quality slides in ~4–5 minutes — Fast mode renders every page in parallel. 🔍 Watch the whole chain live: research → outline → style → render → edit → present → export PDF/PPTX. 🖥️ Browser-first · zero API keys · durable projects.
What it solves
Codex Slides solves the "black box" problem of AI slide generators, where users typically submit a prompt and receive a final file without any control over the intermediate steps. It provides an agent-native studio that allows users to research, outline, style, and edit presentations in a live, steerable environment before exporting to production formats.
How it works
The tool operates as a plugin within the Codex coding agent. It follows a structured pipeline: it clarifies the user's brief, performs optional source-backed research, generates an editable outline, and allows the user to lock in a visual direction. Slides are then rendered—either progressively or in parallel via "Fast mode"—as full visual canvases. The entire project is saved to the user's local disk, ensuring synchronization across different browser sessions and allowing for iterative edits and mark-based refinements.
Who it’s for
It is designed for developers and users of Codex coding agents who need to turn prompts, code repositories, or folders of files into professional presentations (such as market reports, product keynotes, or technical cutaways) without leaving their development environment.
