Turn papers, code, and docs into presentation-ready, natively editable PPTX in Codex / Claude Code. Native charts and equations, speaker notes, click-build animations, and an independent critic review before delivery.

What it solves

slide-maker automates the creation of professional, native PowerPoint (.pptx) presentations from source materials like research papers, code repositories, documents, or general topics. It solves the common problem of AI presentation tools generating uneditable images, hallucinating data, or forcing content into rigid, stock templates.

How it works

The project uses a multi-agent system where specialized agents handle distinct roles to ensure quality and accuracy:

  • Content-planner: Reads source material and plans the narrative arc and slide content, ensuring every number is traced to a source.
  • Slide-design: Acts as an art director to determine the visual form, palette, and typography based on the content.
  • Critic: An independent reviewer that checks for content fidelity and design flaws (e.g., cramped layouts or incorrect numbers) and requests fixes.
  • Arbiter: Provides a second independent check for high-stakes decks to verify the critic's findings.
  • Asset-prep: Handles the technical execution of creating figures, icons, and equations.

Users provide the audience, talk length, and style preferences. The system reads the material, proposes a story and design plan for user approval, and then generates a fully editable .pptx file.

Who it’s for

It is designed for researchers, students, and professionals who need to create decks for lab meetings, thesis defenses, product pitches, or corporate training where accuracy and the ability to manually polish the final output are critical.

Highlights

  • Native Editable Output: Generates real text boxes, shapes, and native PowerPoint charts rather than flattened images.
  • Source-Traced Accuracy: Prevents hallucinations by tracing every figure and number back to the provided source material.
  • Actor-Critic Loop: Uses a separate critic agent to review the deck before it is delivered to the user.
  • Flexible Canvas: Supports various aspect ratios including 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 (Rednote), 9:16, and A4.
  • Speaker Notes: Automatically includes a full per-slide script in the speaker notes section.
