msitarzewski/agency-agents-app
Agency Agents is a small, native app for browsing, installing, and tracking the agent personas from msitarzewski/agency-agents across the AI coding tools you actually use.
What it solves
Managing AI agent personas across different coding tools is difficult because every tool (like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) uses its own specific file format and installation path. This project provides a native desktop application that acts as a centralized installer and manager for a catalog of specialist AI agent personas, removing the need to manually copy files or guess where they should be placed.
How it works
Built with Tauri 2 and Svelte 5, the app serves as a native control surface for the agency-agents catalog. It uses a Rust-based backend to deterministically render agent personas into the specific formats required by various AI tools. It maintains a local ledger to track every installation, allowing the app to detect if a file has been modified externally (drift) and manage updates, removals, or backups without affecting the tool's runtime.
Who it’s for
Developers who use multiple AI coding assistants and want to easily browse, install, and synchronize specialist agent personas across those tools.
Highlights
- Multi-Tool Support: Installs personas to targets including Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and others.
- Install Tracking: Uses a local database to monitor install health and detect when files are modified outside the app.
- Project-Scoped Installs: Allows users to assign specific agents to individual projects rather than just global user settings.
- Offline-First: Ships with a bundled corpus of agents and can operate using a local clone of the agent catalog.
- Native Performance: Developed with Rust and Tauri to ensure a small footprint and no telemetry.
