AI Manager desktop application for AI coding tools

What it solves

It eliminates the manual effort of installing, updating, and configuring AI coding command-line tools. Instead of editing shell profiles, managing PATH variables, or hand-editing configuration files, users can manage their AI toolset through a single desktop interface.

How it works

Built with Tauri 2 and React 18, the application acts as a local-first manager that interacts with package managers (npm, pnpm, bun, or Volta) to handle software installation and updates. It provides a centralized dashboard to connect tools to AI services via a preset catalogue or custom HTTPS endpoints, manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections, and handle global prompts and session browsing without modifying the user's shell environment.

Who it’s for

Developers and power users who use tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI daily and want a streamlined way to oversee which tools are installed, which AI services they are using, and whether those connections are healthy.

Highlights

  • Unified Software Management: Detects, installs, and repairs ten different AI CLI tools and tracks desktop apps like Cursor and Claude Desktop.
  • API Endpoint Testing: Verifies service connections by reading served models and sending real requests to ensure keys and addresses are actually working.
  • MCP Integration: Adds stdio, HTTP, and SSE connections for the Model Context Protocol without requiring manual JSON editing.
  • Skill Management: Scans local scopes to install and copy "Skills" from trusted GitHub catalogues or local ZIP files.
  • Session Browser: Allows users to search and browse local sessions, resuming them in a terminal via a backend-built command.
