Personal AI Toolbox
What it solves
AI Toolbox is a cross-platform desktop application designed to simplify the management of configurations for various AI programming assistants and CLI tools. It eliminates the need to manually edit configuration files across different environments, providing a visual interface for managing models, providers, and prompts.
How it works
Built with Tauri 2.x, React 19, and SQLite, the application acts as a central hub for configuring AI tools. It interacts with the configuration files of tools like Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode, allowing users to switch between official subscriptions and custom API providers. It also includes a local proxy gateway for protocol conversion and request logging, and synchronization tools to push configurations to WSL or remote SSH hosts.
Who it’s for
Developers who use multiple AI coding assistants and CLI tools and need a centralized way to manage their API keys, model settings, and environment configurations across different operating systems and remote servers.
Highlights
- Multi-Tool Configuration: Visual management for OpenCode, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw, and Pi CLI.
- MCP & Skills Management: Centralized control of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and a skills repository for installing tools from Git or local directories.
- Local Proxy Gateway: A unified entry point for AI CLI tools that supports protocol conversion, failover, and usage statistics.
- Environment Sync: Automatic or manual synchronization of configurations to WSL and remote SSH hosts.
- Detailed Session Management: Ability to browse, search, and export session histories across multiple AI tools.
- Data Backup: Support for local and WebDAV cloud backups with sensitive file filtering.
