What it solves

HermesPet is designed to move AI interaction beyond a simple chat window, integrating it directly into the macOS desktop experience. It solves the problem of fragmented AI tools by acting as a "AI Mission Control," providing a unified interface for multiple AI terminals and agents, while allowing users to monitor system performance and task progress in real-time without interrupting their workflow.

How it works

HermesPet lives in the macOS "notch" area and at the screen edges. It connects to various AI sources, including online API-based models (Cloud), self-hosted models (Hermes), and local terminal-based agents like Claude Code, Codex, QwenCode, and Kimi. It provides a visual control plane where users can interact with these agents through a native chat interface, screen captures, voice input, and file dragging. It also includes a companion app for iPhone and Apple Watch to remotely monitor and approve high-risk operations on the Mac.
