What it solves

WorkDaddy is a desktop enhancement tool for WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy AI clients. It addresses the limitations of the official clients by providing multi-account management, automation of repetitive tasks, and UI customization, all while keeping user data and account backups stored locally on the user's machine.

How it works

The tool uses the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) to connect to running Electron-based AI clients. It launches the clients with a remote debugging port enabled, allowing WorkDaddy to inject a custom JavaScript interface (inject.js) into the renderer process without modifying the original installation files or binary signatures. A local daemon manages the backend logic, providing an HTTP API for account switching, theme application, and automation execution.
