GetCito the World's First Open Source AI Search Optimization (AIO) / Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Visibility Tracking Tool.

What it solves

Getcito provides a self-hosted platform to track and optimize how brands are mentioned and cited by AI answer engines (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot). It addresses the need for "AI visibility" tracking—often called Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) or Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)—allowing users to benchmark their brand against competitors in AI-generated responses.

How it works

Getcito uses a worker-based architecture to automate the collection of AI responses. Users schedule specific prompts, and a background worker (powered by pg-boss and PostgreSQL) triggers these prompts across various AI surfaces. The system retrieves answers using either pluggable web scrapers (like BrightData or Oxylabs) or direct LLM API calls (via OpenRouter, OpenAI, etc.). It then extracts citations and mentions to calculate visibility metrics, which are displayed in a dashboard.

Who it’s for

It is designed for brand managers, SEO specialists, and marketers who want to own their data and audit how AI engines describe their products or services compared to their competitors.
