Open-source Grok App — desktop workbench (GUI) for the local Grok Build CLI: sessions, projects, media, automations. Tauri 2.

What it solves

While the grok CLI is powerful, it lacks a user-friendly interface for managing complex workflows. Grok App provides a desktop workbench that transforms the command-line experience into a visual environment with multi-project session management, rich media previews, and automation scheduling.

How it works

It acts as a graphical wrapper for the local Grok Build CLI (grok agent stdio). The app manages the agent's lifecycle, handles permissions via a visual bar, and provides a structured UI for chatting, reviewing artifacts, and managing account quotas. It is built using Tauri 2, Rust, React, and TypeScript.

Who it’s for

Developers and power users who use the Grok Build CLI and want a more organized, visual way to manage their AI agent sessions, projects, and automated tasks across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
