How it works

It operates as a server installed on a PC or personal server that manages all data—including characters, chats, and settings—within a single SQLite database. It connects to various AI providers (such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and Ollama) to generate responses. Because generation happens on the server side, responses continue to be created even if the user's device disconnects or locks.
