PlanExe addresses the difficulty and high cost of planning complex, large-scale projects. It eliminates the "blank page" problem by transforming a plain-language project brief into a structured, comprehensive planning baseline, reducing the time needed to create a first-pass plan from days or weeks to roughly 65–90 minutes.

How it works

PlanExe is a local Python program that uses AI (specifically via the Claude Code CLI) to analyze a project brief from multiple planning perspectives. It generates a self-contained interactive report and a bundle of editable source artifacts in Markdown, JSON, and CSV formats. Because it saves intermediate steps as files, users can edit a specific assumption or decision and regenerate only the dependent parts of the plan, allowing for iterative refinement of the reasoning process.
