PlanExeOrg/PlanExe

Create a plan from a description in minutes

What it solves

PlanExe addresses the difficulty of turning ambitious, complex project briefs into coherent planning baselines. It removes the "blank page" problem for organizations that lack the budget for large consulting firms or the time to manually synthesize stakeholder interviews, specialist knowledge, and coordination requirements.

How it works

Users describe a project in plain language, and the software processes this brief through a planning pipeline using either cloud-based or local AI models. It examines the project from multiple planning perspectives to generate a structured, interactive report. Unlike a simple chat interface, PlanExe produces a bundle of editable Markdown, JSON, and CSV source artifacts. If a user edits an early assumption or decision in these files, the system rebuilds the dependent parts of the plan while preserving the accepted work.

Who it’s for

It is designed for people and AI agents managing consulting-scale, multi-phase initiatives, such as regional infrastructure programs, regulated healthcare transformations, cross-border public-sector initiatives, and complex corporate integrations (e.g., ERP migrations or post-merger integrations).

Highlights

  • Comprehensive Planning Output: Generates executive summaries, work breakdown structures, dependency-aware Gantt charts, risk registers, SWOT analyses, and governance paths.
  • Inspectable Reasoning: Provides readable source artifacts instead of hiding the process in a chat transcript, allowing users to refine the underlying logic.
  • Local Model Support: Can be run on private infrastructure to keep sensitive project data and trade secrets secure and offline.
  • Agent-Ready: Built for use by both humans and AI agents via command-line, Docker, and MCP setups.
