OpenDCAI/Paper2Any

Turn paper/text/topic into editable research figures, technical route diagrams, and presentation slides.

What it solves

Paper2Any (and its successor Nexus Office) solves the difficulty of converting complex raw data, scientific papers, and rough notes into professional, editable office deliverables. It eliminates the manual effort required to rebuild charts, diagrams, and slide decks from scratch when transforming research or meeting data into presentations, reports, or visual assets.

How it works

The system uses an AI Agent that takes a goal, source files (such as PDFs, images, or text), and constraints as input. The Agent then selects the appropriate tools to generate native, editable files. For example, it can extract facts and charts from one document to rebuild a presentation using a specific company template, or convert rough meeting notes into a structured Word report. It also includes a visual canvas for interactive segmentation (cutouts) and multi-image composition using image models.

Who it’s for

It is designed for researchers, academics, and office professionals who need to quickly turn scientific papers, technical data, and meeting notes into editable PowerPoint presentations, Excel dashboards, Word reports, and professional diagrams.

Highlights

  • Editable Office Deliverables: Generates native PPTX, XLSX, and DOCX files rather than static images.
  • Multi-format Conversion: Supports a wide range of workflows including Paper2Figure (scientific figures), Paper2PPT (slide decks), and Paper2Rebuttal (academic responses).
  • AI Visual Canvas: Features local interactive segmentation for cutouts and the ability to compose multiple images into a coherent visual.
  • Knowledge Base Integration: Supports ingesting documents via embeddings for semantic search and KB-driven content generation.
  • Diagramming Tools: Integrates with Draw.io for generating editable system architecture and model diagrams from text or images.
