compozy/compozy

An operating system for AI agents. Plug in the agent CLIs you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor) and they become a team: they split the work, hand tasks to each other, run automated on jobs and loops, and share one project memory. You steer everything from the browser.

What it solves

CompozyOS provides a complete operating system environment for AI agents, removing the need for developers to manually write glue scripts, cron jobs, and permission systems to make agents work continuously and reliably in the background. It transforms the agent stack into a unified product where agent work is automated, supervised, and persistent.

How it works

The system operates via a home-scoped daemon that manages the workspace, applies permissions and runtime policies, and coordinates ACP-compatible agent CLIs (such as Claude Code, OpenClaw, and Hermes). Users and agents interact with this daemon through various control surfaces including a web shell, CLI, HTTP/SSE, and MCP. The runtime state, including sessions, tasks, and loop runs, is persisted in a local SQLite-backed store, ensuring that work survives the closing of a terminal.

Who it’s for

It is built primarily for developers and technical operators who want to automate and supervise AI agent workflows without managing the fragmented infrastructure surrounding the agent itself.

Highlights

  • Persistent Sessions: Work continues in the background via the daemon, so closing a terminal does not stop agent activity.
  • Automation Tools: Built-in support for cron schedules, webhooks, and triggers to keep agents running autonomously.
  • ACP Compatibility: Works with existing agent CLIs like Claude Code, OpenClaw, and Hermes.
  • Local-first Architecture: Uses a single Go binary and SQLite for local state management.
  • Extensible Framework: Supports custom extensions for adding new resources and runtime behavior through explicit contracts.
  • Supervision: Integrated approvals, permissions, and activity inspection to maintain control over agent work.
