What it solves

Lineage Skill transforms static educational materials—such as videos, audio, books, PDFs, and lecture notes—into an interactive, source-backed learning experience. Instead of providing simple summaries, it focuses on moving the learner from "understanding" to "doing" by extracting the teaching methods of instructors and guiding users through structured practice, feedback, and real-world application.

How it works

The system processes raw materials through a multi-step pipeline: it transcribes audio/video, identifies structures in documents, and extracts the instructor's decision-making process. It then generates a "Course Skill" that acts as a tutor. This tutor delivers knowledge via micro-lessons (using ASCII or SVG diagrams for clarity), provides formative assessments (two questions per knowledge point: one for understanding and one for application), and tracks the user's progress, errors, and revisions to gradually reduce prompts until the user can solve problems independently.
