Folkbench/folkbench
AI API 中转站评测排行与切换工具:实测可用率、延迟与价格 · Open-source AI API relay benchmark, rankings & switcher for Claude Code / Codex
What it solves
Folkbench addresses the challenge of navigating the fragmented landscape of AI model providers (often called "transit stations"). It provides transparency regarding service reliability, latency, and pricing, while solving the technical headache of manually updating configuration files for various AI coding tools whenever you want to switch between different service providers.
How it works
Folkbench operates as both a public benchmarking platform and a desktop application called Folkbench Switch. The platform continuously tests and ranks AI providers based on real-world performance. The Switch application, built with Tauri and Rust, acts as a local configuration manager. It allows you to store multiple API keys and base URLs locally and injects them into your coding tools—such as Claude Code, Aider, or Codex—with a single click, automatically handling the necessary file updates and safely preserving your original credentials.
Who it’s for
It is designed for developers and power users who use AI-assisted coding tools and want to optimize their workflow by easily switching between different model providers to find the best balance of cost, speed, and availability without manually editing configuration files.
Highlights
- One-Click Switching: Instantly swap between different AI service providers across multiple coding tools.
- Configuration Safety: Automatically backs up and restores official credentials when switching to or from third-party services.
- Real-time Data: Integrates live performance metrics (availability and latency) directly into the client to help you choose the best route.
- Privacy-First: All API keys and configurations are stored locally on your machine and never uploaded to the cloud.
- Local Usage Tracking: Provides estimates for token consumption and costs per session.
