Anthropic is contributing $1 million as a grand challenge partner of the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. This funding supports research aimed at leveraging AI to automate and optimize grid management, with the goal of increasing energy efficiency and resilience. The Scott Institute serves as CMU's hub for energy-focused research, policy outreach, and education.

Cybersecurity Workforce Development

Anthropic is providing $1 million to the picoCTF program. This initiative provides middle and high school students with free cybersecurity education through capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions. The program covers essential technical skills, including:
