Mistral AI Le Chat Update: MCP Connectors and Memories
Mistral AI has expanded the capabilities of Le Chat by introducing a directory of over 20 secure, Model Context Protocol (MCP)-powered connectors and a new Memories feature. These updates allow users to integrate business-critical workflows directly into their AI assistant and maintain personalized context across different chat sessions.
Enterprise Integration via MCP Connectors
Le Chat now features a connector directory that enables users to search, summarize, and perform actions across a wide array of enterprise tools. This system turns Le Chat into a centralized interface for data, documents, and operational actions.
Supported Connector Categories
- Data: Integration with Pinecone, Prisma Postgres, and DeepWiki, with Databricks and Snowflake support coming soon.
- Productivity: Support for Box, Notion, Asana, Monday.com, and Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
- Development: Integration with GitHub (for issues, pull requests, repositories, and code analysis), Linear, Sentry, and the Cloudflare Development Platform.
- Commerce: Access to payment and merchant data via PayPal, Plaid, Square, and Stripe.
- Automation: Workflow extensions through Zapier and Brevo.
Custom Extensibility and Deployment
Beyond the pre-built directory, users can connect to any remote MCP server to query and act on tools unique to their specific business stack.
Deployment options are flexible to meet different security and infrastructure needs:
- Mistral Cloud: Fully managed service.
- Private/Public Cloud: Deployment within the user's own cloud environment.
- On-Premises: Self-hosted deployment for maximum control over data and workflows.
For organizational management, admin users can control connector availability and utilize on-behalf authentication to ensure data access is restricted to permitted users.
Personalized Context with Memories
The Memories feature allows Le Chat to carry context across separate conversations, retrieving past insights, decisions, and references to provide more relevant and adaptive responses.
Memory Management and Reliability
Mistral AI states that the Memories feature is designed for high accuracy and reliability, specifically focusing on:
- Selective Storage: Saving important information while ignoring ephemeral content and avoiding sensitive or forbidden inferences.
- User Control: Users have full authority to add, edit, update, or remove any memory entry at any time.
- Portability: The system supports the fast import of memories from ChatGPT.
Availability and Access
Both MCP Connectors and Memories are currently in beta and available to all Le Chat users on the Free plan. These features can be accessed via the web interface at chat.mistral.ai or through the Le Chat mobile app on the App Store and Google Play Store.
