This deployment provides 3 million civilian and military personnel with access to generative AI tools designed for unclassified work, aiming to enhance mission execution and operational readiness.

ChatGPT on GenAI.mil is hosted within authorized government cloud infrastructure. This architecture ensures that the system is equipped with built-in safety controls and protections specifically designed for the Department's highly sensitive data.

Data Privacy and Model Training

To maintain security and operational integrity, OpenAI has implemented the following data protections:

• Data Isolation: All data processed through GenAI.mil remains isolated within the government environment.
