基于麦当劳MCP的智能省钱助手

What it is

麦麦省钱助手 (McD Money Saver) is a smart assistant that helps you spend less at McDonald's. It connects to McDonald's official MCP service (a way for apps to talk to McDonald's systems) to automatically gather your coupons, check your points, compare prices, and tell you the cheapest way to order — all in one place.

It was built as an entry for McDonald's Programmer's Day Creative Development Competition, with help from Tencent's WorkBuddy tool.

What problem it solves

The README lists four common frustrations it addresses:

  • You have several coupons but don't know which is best or whether they can be combined.
  • You're not sure if you've claimed all the available "麦麦省" (McD Savings) coupons.
  • You have a tight budget (e.g., 30 yuan) and need a meal that fills you up without going over.
  • You want to watch calories but still catch the best deals.

Core features

Feature What it does
Smart coupon claiming One-click claim all available McD Savings coupons (via a tool called auto-bind-coupons).
Best combo finder Uses your coupons to calculate which meal/food combination saves the most money.
Budget ordering Finds the cheapest way to order within a fixed budget.
Calorie-aware deals Keeps calories under a target while still finding the best price.
Points lookup Checks your points balance and factors in points redemption to save more.

How it works

The assistant chains together several McDonald's MCP tools in sequence:

  1. Find nearby McDonald's stores
  2. Check your coupons and which ones are claimable
  3. Claim available coupons
  4. Look up the menu
  5. Compare prices using a calculates-price tool
  6. Output the best plan

So it's essentially a multi-step pipeline: locate → check → claim → compare → recommend.

How to install and use

Prerequisites:

  • A McDonald's MCP Token (you get it free by logging in at open.mcd.cn/mcp and activating it).
  • An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP (the README recommends Tencent WorkBuddy).

Setup:

  • Add the McDonald's MCP server config (URL https://mcp.mcd.cn with your token as a Bearer header) to your client.
  • Load the SKILL.md file from this repo into your client — in WorkBuddy, you drop it into your skills directory; in other clients, you load it as an agent prompt.

Example interactions from the README:

  • "I only have 30 yuan, want to eat McDonald's." → The assistant finds a nearby store with a "30 minus 5" coupon, recommends a meal that costs exactly 30 after the discount, and tells you how much you saved.
  • "What coupons can I claim?" → It claims 3 coupons for you and tells you which one gives the best value.
  • "Keep it under 500 calories, save where you can." → It suggests a combo at 480 calories with a discount, saving you 6 yuan.

Who it's for

  • Students and workers on a budget who want to eat well without overspending.
  • Deal hunters who always check for coupons before ordering.
  • People watching their calories who still want discounts.

Important caveats

  • This is a competition entry, not an official McDonald's product.
  • All prices, coupons, and availability come from McDonald's official channels in real time — the assistant doesn't invent them.
  • Nutrition info is for reference only, not medical or dietary advice.
  • Usage is limited to competition and learning purposes, and must follow McDonald's Terms of Use and MCP Service Rules.
