Create beautiful slides on the web using a coding agent's frontend skills

What it solves

Frontend Slides allows non-designers to create professional, visually appealing HTML presentations without needing to write CSS or JavaScript. It eliminates the struggle of articulating design preferences by providing visual previews for users to choose from, avoiding generic "AI-slop" aesthetics.

How it works

It is implemented as a skill for coding agents (such as Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI). The agent uses the project's templates and style presets to generate single-file HTML presentations. The process involves:

  1. Gathering content from the user or extracting it from a PowerPoint (.pptx) file.
  2. Generating three visual style previews based on the user's brief.
  3. Creating the final presentation in the selected style, which is delivered as a standalone HTML file with inline CSS and JS.

Who it’s for

Non-designers, entrepreneurs, and developers who need high-quality web-based slideshows quickly and without the overhead of build tools or frameworks.

Highlights

  • Zero Dependencies: Produces single HTML files that require no npm or build tools.
  • PPT Conversion: Converts existing PowerPoint files to web presentations while preserving images and content.
  • Visual Style Discovery: Uses a "show, don't tell" approach with visual previews instead of text descriptions.
  • Extensive Template Library: Includes a wide variety of curated styles, including a "Bold Template Pack" with 34 design systems.
  • Production Quality: Ensures accessible, 16:9 aspect ratio slides with well-commented code.
