yorkeccak/bio
The world's most powerful open-source bio AI assistant - Access academic literature, clinical trials, drug labels, and more, all through natural conversation.
What it solves
Bio automates the tedious process of gathering and synthesizing biomedical evidence, which is typically fragmented across numerous databases. It replaces manual searching and reading with an automated loop that generates cited research reports based on specific life sciences workflows.
How it works
The application uses Valyu DeepResearch to query a unified API covering PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, FDA drug labels, patents, and the open web. Users select a prebuilt workflow (such as competitive landscapes or regulatory precedents) and provide specific variables. The system then executes a search-read-synthesize loop in one of three modes—fast, standard, or heavy—to produce a narrative report with inline citations and structured deliverables.
Who it’s for
It is designed for biomedical researchers and life sciences professionals who need to conduct deep research on pipelines, clinical trials, regulatory pathways, or business development opportunities.
Highlights
- Prebuilt Workflows: Specialized templates for Pipeline & Assets, Clinical, Regulatory, and Business Development research.
- Cited Reports: Every claim includes inline citations that link directly back to the original source.
- Live Activity Feed: Real-time visibility into the search, reading, and reasoning steps as the report is generated.
- Flexible Deployment: Supports self-hosting with a local SQLite database and integration with local model servers like Ollama and LM Studio.
