What it solves

This project provides a privacy-focused, local-first desktop environment for web-novel authors who want to integrate AI assistance into their creative workflow without sacrificing data ownership. It solves the problem of fragmented writing tools by combining a professional-grade text editor with AI-powered brainstorming, outlining, and drafting tools that run entirely on the user's machine.

How it works

Built as a desktop application using Tauri, it stores all writing projects, character settings, and timelines in a local SQLite database. Users can connect their own AI API keys (such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, or local models via Ollama) to enable features like text expansion, plot generation, and style polishing. Because it uses a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model, all AI requests are sent directly from the user's computer to the provider, ensuring that sensitive drafts are not stored on third-party servers.
