How it works

The application acts as a frontend that connects to various LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenAI-compatible services like DeepSeek). It uses a structured approach to manage context:

• World Books & Character Cards: Users define the setting and persona of characters, which are then fed into the AI's prompt to maintain consistency.
• Memory Archiving: After interactions, the AI analyzes the conversation to extract key events and relationship changes, writing them back into the character's permanent record.
• Interaction Modes: It offers specialized modes for one-on-one chatting (AI Companion), group storytelling (Text Adventure/TRPG), and entering pre-defined story outlines (Book-Crossing/穿书).
• Local Storage: All user data, including character cards and session histories, is stored locally in the user's documents folder.
