SkillDock is an AI skill manager and skill management desktop app for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, and other AI coding tools. Install, organize, edit, sync, and update Skills, MCP servers, and plugins with real-directory scanning and Git-aware Diff previews. AI Skill Manager / Skill 管理软件 / MCP 管理工具.
What it solves
SkillDock provides a centralized desktop control center for managing the "skills," MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, and plugins used by various AI coding agents and IDEs. It eliminates the need to manually copy files or edit complex configuration files across different tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Windsurf, allowing users to sync their AI capabilities across their entire development environment.
How it works
SkillDock acts as a management layer that scans the actual skill directories and configuration files of supported AI tools. It uses a "managed" system where skills are stored in a central library (~/.skilldock/skills) and then linked (via symlinks) to the specific AI tools where they are enabled.
For MCP servers, it manages shared configuration records and writes the enabled servers directly into each tool's MCP config file. For plugins, it manages higher-level packages that can bundle skills, agents, and commands, tracking their source and enabling them for compatible host tools.
Who it’s for
Developers who use multiple AI coding tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Windsurf) and want a unified way to install, update, and synchronize their custom AI skills and MCP servers without manual configuration.
Highlights
- Multi-tool Sync: One-click enablement of skills and MCP servers across a wide array of supported AI coding tools.
- Git-Aware Workflow: Tracks upstream updates, local modifications, and pending pushes for Git-backed skills and plugins, including diff previews.
- Centralized Installation: Install skills and MCP servers from marketplaces (like ClawHub or MCP.Directory), Git repositories, or local folders.
- MCP Tool Discovery: Detects exposed MCP tools and tracks the usability of server configurations.
- Plugin Bundling: Manages complex plugin packages that can include skills, agents, and commands in a single installation.
