DSH Desktop is a community-maintained desktop distribution of the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem. It solves the friction of manually setting up the DSH environment, finding compatible plugins, and managing plugin states across different platforms. It provides an out-of-the-box application that bundles the official DSH Web interface, the npm runtime, and a curated set of verified community plugins (Bundles) into a single, unified profile.

How it works

The project uses Electron as a lightweight desktop host. Instead of creating a separate frontend, it directly loads the official DSH Web app and the official npm runtime. It manages a single authoritative official Profile to ensure that settings, sessions, and plugins are consistent across the CLI and the UI. To provide desktop-specific capabilities (like native file dialogs and window management), it uses a narrow "desktop-adapter" contract.
