Claude Code, Codex, and Grok interfaces as shadcn components
What it solves
It provides a way to embed high-fidelity, accessible React components that look like the terminal interfaces of AI coding agents (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Grok) into websites, documentation, and marketing pages. This removes the need for using static screenshots or iframes to showcase agent interactions.
How it works
The project is a shadcn/ui registry. It uses a capture harness (via tmux) to record real terminal output from AI agents, which is then used to build React components that faithfully recreate those terminal UIs. These components are shipped as copy-pasteable registry items that can be added to a project via the shadcn CLI.
Who it’s for
Developers and designers who want to showcase AI agent terminal sessions in their web applications or documentation using clean, accessible code rather than images.
Highlights
- Multi-Agent Support: Recreates interfaces for Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Grok.
- High Fidelity: Based on real terminal captures from a tmux harness.
- shadcn/ui Integration: Components are delivered as a registry, allowing for easy installation via
bunx shadcn add. - Granular Components: Includes specific pieces like thinking blocks, tool calls, diffs, and slash menus, as well as full session blocks.
