🗂 The essential checklist for modern web development, for humans and AI agents
What it solves
Front-End Checklist provides a structured, comprehensive system for ensuring the quality of modern web development. It addresses the problem of inconsistent frontend implementation quality by turning best practices into a practical, reviewable workflow for both human developers and AI agents.
How it works
The project consists of a corpus of 386 rules across 11 categories (such as HTML, CSS, Performance, Accessibility, and SEO). These rules are delivered through three primary interfaces:
- Web Interface: An interactive site for browsing and filtering rules.
- MCP Server: A Model Context Protocol server that allows AI agents to perform code reviews, audit live URLs, and search for remediation guidance directly using the rule corpus.
- Static Checklist: A comprehensive list provided within the README for manual audits.
Who it’s for
- Frontend Developers: To ensure their code meets industry standards and best practices.
- AI Agents: To provide high-confidence frontend findings and remediation suggestions during code reviews.
- QA Engineers: To conduct structured audits of web pages and pull requests.
Highlights
- AI-Ready: Integrated with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for seamless agentic workflows.
- Comprehensive Coverage: 386 rules spanning 11 active categories including security, privacy, and internationalization.
- Actionable Guidance: Rule pages include explanations, verification steps, and specific AI prompts for remediation.
- Priority-Based: Rules are categorized by priority (Critical, High, Medium, Low) to help teams prioritize fixes.
