tddworks/asc-cli
App Store Connect from your terminal & Agents. A Swift CLI for managing your iOS and macOS apps on App Store Connect. Submit versions, manage screenshots, track builds — with full AI-agent support via CAEOAS affordances.
asc‑cli – App Store Command Center
What it is – A Swift‑based command‑line tool that talks to Apple’s App Store Connect API. It lets you script the whole lifecycle of an iOS/macOS app: creating builds, uploading binaries, managing TestFlight testers, configuring in‑app purchases, editing metadata, and pulling sales/analytics reports. All output is JSON by default, making it easy for automation or AI agents to consume.
Key features
- Auth – Log in with an App Store Connect API key (
asc auth login). - CAEOAS – Every JSON response includes an
affordancesblock with ready‑to‑run CLI commands, so a downstream agent can discover the next actions without hard‑coding the command tree. - Full App Store workflow – Create versions, link builds, run pre‑flight checks, submit for review, manage TestFlight groups, upload screenshots/previews, configure pricing, IAPs, subscriptions, and A/B‑test product‑page assets.
- Extensible – Plugins, “skills”, local simulators, and a built‑in REST server (
asc web‑server) let you integrate the CLI into CI pipelines or custom tools. - Output formats – JSON (default), table, markdown, or an interactive TUI (
asc tui). - Swift package – The underlying
ASCKitlibrary can be embedded in your own Swift projects.
Typical workflow
# Authenticate
asc auth login --key-id <ID> --issuer-id <ID> --private-key-path ~/.asc/AuthKey_XXXXXX.p8
# List apps, pick one, pin it
asc apps list
asc init --app-id <APP_ID>
# Create a new version and upload a build
asc versions create --version-string 2.1.0
asc builds upload --path MyApp.ipa
# Run pre‑flight checks, then submit
asc versions check-readiness --version-id v1
asc versions submit --version-id v1
The JSON returned from asc versions list will contain commands like asc versions submit … in its affordances field, enabling an AI‑driven release bot to follow the steps automatically.
Who it’s for – iOS/macOS developers, release engineers, and CI/CD pipelines that need a programmable interface to App Store Connect, especially those building automated or AI‑assisted deployment workflows.
