sunnypilot is an open source driver assistance system. sunnypilot offers the user a unique driving experience for over 350 supported car makes and models with modified behaviors of driving assist engagements. sunnypilot complies with the safety policy from comma.ai's openpilot as accurately as possible.

What it solves

It provides an open-source driver assistance system that modifies the engagement behaviors of existing driver assistance software to offer a unique driving experience across a wide range of vehicle models.

How it works

As a fork of comma.ai's openpilot, it integrates with dedicated hardware in a car to process data from road-facing cameras, CAN bus, GPS, and other sensors (IMU, magnetometer, thermal sensors) to assist the driver.
