Effortless Real-Time Sign Language Translation
What it solves
This project addresses the communication gap between sign language users and spoken language users by providing real-time, bidirectional translation between sign language and spoken/written language.
How it works
The system operates through two primary pipelines:
- Sign Language Production (Spoken to Signed): It converts spoken audio or text into normalized text, then into SignWriting, and finally into pose sequences. These sequences are rendered via a skeleton viewer, a 3D avatar, or a Human GAN.
- Sign Language Translation (Signed to Spoken): It processes sign language video (via upload or live camera) through a segmentation process and SignWriting conversion to produce spoken language text and audio.
