What it solves

AI Agent Team provides a virtual, 24/7 professional software development team consisting of specialized AI agents (Product Manager, Fullstack, Frontend, Backend, QA, DevOps, and Tech Lead). It solves the problem of fragmented AI interactions by introducing a memory system (Thread Manager) that allows AI to maintain context across sessions, manage multiple parallel tasks, and integrate directly with Git for version control.

How it works

The project is built as an extension for AI runtimes like Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf. It uses a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server called Thread Manager to provide persistent memory via a local SQLite database and a built-in embedding model (Xenova/all-MiniLM-L6-v2) for semantic search. Users interact with the team via specific slash commands (e.g., /pm, /be, /qa) to trigger specialized agent roles with predefined skills.
