Opaline: CLI for Claude Code and Codex session analytics.

What it solves

Opaline CLI provides visibility into AI-driven coding sessions. It solves the problem of "black box" agentic workflows by allowing teams to centralize, browse, and analyze transcripts from tools like Claude Code and Codex, making it easier to understand how agents are working and where development effort is being spent.

How it works

The CLI acts as a bridge between local coding sessions and the Opaline web application. It scans the local system for Claude Code and Codex sessions, allows the user to select specific repositories to sync, and sets up hooks to automatically upload session transcripts—including prompts, responses, tool calls, and metadata—to a shared workspace.

Who it’s for

Engineering teams using AI coding agents (specifically Claude Code and Codex) who want to share session insights, track model usage, and monitor API costs across multiple repositories.

Highlights

  • Unified View: Groups sessions by repository and provides a single interface for both Claude Code and Codex.
  • Automatic Syncing: Once a repository is enabled, future sessions are uploaded automatically.
  • Secret Filtering: Includes built-in filtering to remove known secret patterns from transcripts before they are uploaded.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Includes a doctor command to verify authentication, connection status, and hook health.
