mhss1/MyBrain
All-in-one productivity app and AI assistant with Tasks, Notes, Calendar, Diary and Bookmarks.
What it solves
My Brain is a private, all-in-one productivity suite that combines tasks, notes, a calendar, a diary, and bookmarks into a single application. It eliminates the need for multiple fragmented apps while ensuring that user data remains local and private.
How it works
Built with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform, the app stores data locally using Room DB. It leverages Google ML Kit GenAI Prompt API to provide on-device AI capabilities. For synchronization, it uses Ktor and Android Network Service Discovery (NSD) to allow encrypted local device sync over the same network without relying on a central cloud server.
Who it’s for
Individuals seeking a privacy-focused productivity tool that integrates multiple organizational features and an AI assistant without sacrificing data ownership.
Highlights
- On-Device AI: Includes an AI assistant and agent that can chat, attach objects, and create or find items within the app.
- Local-First Sync: Encrypted local network synchronization for all data using AES-GCM and Zstandard compression.
- Comprehensive Toolset: Integrated support for Markdown notes, task management with priorities/reminders, mood tracking with graphs, and a calendar with home screen widgets.
- Privacy Centric: No data collection and a focus on memory efficiency.
