What is Synaplan?

Freedom, not a plan tier – The entire platform (backend, frontend, widgets, plugins) is open-source and starts with one command. Self-hosting gives you the same software as the hosted cloud, and users can create their own accounts.
Hundreds of models, one place – Works with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral, xAI, HuggingFace, sovereign EU providers, and any local model via Ollama. You can swap providers per task in the UI.
Smart cost control – A planner breaks requests into a small task graph (extract → summarize → generate → reply) and uses expensive models only where needed. Every answer shows its cost.
Yours, including offline – Can run on-prem, in an EU cloud, or fully air-gapped. No training on your data, no forced telemetry.
Works where you already work – Available on web, iPhone, Android, Desktop, Outlook, as a chat widget, WhatsApp, and email. Also connects to Microsoft 365, Dropbox, Nextcloud/ownCloud, calendars, Jira, Confluence, and OpenCloud.
Extend without forking – Plugins, an OpenAPI REST API, an MCP server and client, and an Anthropic-compatible endpoint for Claude Code. Optional sidecars stay off until you turn them on.

How to Run It

Quickstart – Clone the repo and run make up. Open http://localhost:5173, log in as admin@synaplan.com / admin123, and start chatting. You can use the built-in demo (40 messages/day for 14 days) or connect your own AI key (e.g., free Groq or local Ollama).
Published image – Download a single compose.yaml file and run docker compose up -d. Open http://127.0.0.1:8000 and follow the setup wizard.
Closed network – For air-gapped environments, use the provided scripts to generate a local TLS certificate and run everything on a private IP.
Server install – Use the one-liner installer script to deploy on a Linux server with a domain.
