freephdlabor automates the entire scientific research lifecycle. It eliminates the manual effort of moving from a research idea to a final, peer-reviewed quality manuscript by automating hypothesis generation, experimentation, and paper writing.
How it works
The project uses a multiagent framework where a central ManagerAgent orchestrates several specialized agents:
- IdeationAgent: Generates and refines research hypotheses.
- ExperimentationAgent: Drafts and executes code to run experiments.
- WriteupAgent: Produces academic papers using LaTeX.
- ReviewerAgent: Critiques the research and provides feedback.
- ProofreadingAgent: Handles final formatting and typo fixes.
These agents share a common workspace and use a modular design, allowing users to add custom agents or tools (e.g., for materials science or biology) to adapt the system to different scientific domains.
