lonr-6/cc-desktop-switch

Lightweight desktop tool for configuring DeepSeek, Kimi, Zhipu GLM and Bailian providers in Claude Desktop.

What it solves

It allows users of the official Claude Desktop client to easily switch between and manage various third-party Anthropic-compatible API providers (such as DeepSeek, Kimi, Zhipu GLM, and others) without manually editing configuration files.

How it works

The app acts as a local gateway running on the user's machine. It maps the specific model IDs used by third-party providers to "Claude-safe" names that the Claude Desktop client expects. When a user selects a provider and clicks "Apply," the app configures Claude Desktop to route requests through this local gateway, which then handles the protocol compatibility, API keys, and headers before forwarding the request to the upstream provider.

Who it’s for

Regular desktop users on Windows and macOS who want to use alternative LLM providers within the official Claude Desktop interface via a simple graphical user interface.
